In 1982 Billie Joe Armstrong, and Mike Dirnt met in a school cafeteria. In 1987 at age 15 Billie Joe, Mike
Dirnt, and original drummer John put together a band called "Sweet Children".They released their first album"1,039/Smoothed
out slappy hours" in 1990, released by "Lookout Records".Soon after John left the band for college. They then found drummer
Tre' Cool who made his debut on Kerplunk.

Billie Joe was born on February 17,1972 as the youngest of six. When Billie was 10 his father,Andy, died of Cancer. Before
Billie's father died he gave Billie a (Fender stratocaster) guitar in which he named "blue". He still uses the guitar
today, and has many replicas.Two years after his father's death, Billie's mother remarried.When Billie was 10 he met Mike
Dirnt(born Michael Pritchard) in a school cafeteria.At age 15 Billie, Mike,and original drummer John formed a punk rock band
called "Sweet Children".Billie later dropped out of High School to focus on the band.In 1990 John left the band for college,and
they where left without a drummer.John was replaced with Tre' Cool(born Frank Edwin Wright).The band later bacame known as
Green Day.Billie first met Adrienne in 1990.They later where married July 2,1994.They now have two sons Joseph Marcicano(March
1995),and Jakob Danger(9/12/98).
